WHETHER IT’S BAD

In a book written by Napoleon Hill, he tells a true story of something that happened a long time ago. I’m going to paraphrase the story – There was a man who had hopped a train, jumping into a refrigerated railcar. In riding the train to his desired exit point, he fell asleep and didn’t realize the train had pulled into the train station. The Conductor, doing his job, went along the train and locked all of the railcars up, never realizing there was someone inside the refrigerated railcar. When the man woke up, he tried to open the door, but he couldn’t because it was locked. He was frantic as he tried every way he could to get out of the railcar but was unsuccessful. He was freezing and tried all he knew to try and keep warm, but he knew he was in a refrigerated railcar and that he would freeze to death before anyone would find him.

The next morning as the Conductor was making his rounds, he was surprised to find the man in the refrigerated railcar – dead!! An autopsy was performed and it confirmed that indeed, the man had frozen to death. The strangest part of this whole story is that the refrigerated railcar was not in operation at the time of his death!! The man in the railcar was so CONVINCED in his mind that he was going to freeze to death, that he did! His body performed what his mind was telling it!!

What are you telling your mind?

What is your mind telling you?

Do you need to change your self-talk?

Do you need to start quoting affirming quotes or scriptures?

As I was thinking about this newsletter, I kept thinking, how does a person change the self-talk? When you’re in the midst of a financial crisis and you SEE your bills not being paid, or your business isn’t performing like you want it to, and you SEE the lack of customers, you SEE the business dwindling down, what do you do? How do you change from the SEEING to the BELIEVING?

My mind then went to a memory of a war movie I watched where the POW was being tortured. What did the POW do? He was YELLING that he was an American and his name, rank and serial number. In another war moving the POW was YELLING the Lord’s Prayer. Why were they doing this? Because in the midst of what they were SEEING and experiencing, they had to RE-FOCUS their mind to something else. They took a purposeful position to change their mind. I am SOOO grateful for the men and women that serve our country and fight for our freedom. THANK GOD FOR OUR SOLDIERS and let’s not forget our POW’s!!!

When you SEE things in your life that are not going how you would like them to, don’t even talk about what the current status is, AUDIBLY SPEAK OUT what you want the status to be – and, speak it out in present tense, not future. Don’t say something like ‘I WILL have money to pay all of my financial obligations on time’. Instead say “I HAVE the money to pay all of my financial obligations on time”. Just like the POW, yell it out if you have to. It all depends on the level of pain you are feeling at the moment how forcefully you speak.

“The person who can sincerely thank God for the things which as yet they own only in imagination, has real faith.”

Let’s thank God in advance! It works, because it unleashes tremendous causal energies. What are you imagining?
