IT’S WINTER OLYMPIC TIME!!!

As I write this, the Winter Olympics are in full swing in Sochi, Russia.  There have been many Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals awarded to much deserving athletes!!  If fact, for the first time in Olympic Alpine history there was a tie for first place and TWO Gold Medals were awarded in the downhill skiing event!!!  How awesome is that????
America has many athletes competing for medals in the Winter Games and we are so proud of each and every one of them!!  They represent you and me in the beautiful Russian alpines.
OlympicMedalsMy thought is: What does it take to be an Olympian athlete?  I’ve done a little research which I’d like to share with you.
First and foremost, it takes COMMITMENT to their selected sport.  Let’s take a look at two types of individuals:  One person has great physical gifting (athletic genes), but doesn’t commit to the physical, mental and psychological training necessary to win.
They do ‘just enough’ to make the team and compete – but don’t have the commitment and vision to win.  The other person has good physical gifting (not superb) but commits themselves to arduous physical, mental and psychological training.  They have the VISION to see themselves winning the gold medal and standing on the podium accepting the medal.  Who do you think is the most likely to win?  The one who has the VISION and COMMITS to winning!

1972 Olympian Jim Ochowicz stated “You get there by sticking it out.  There are a lot of people that try and give up.”  Because it takes four to eight years of training just to compete to be on the Olympian team, athletes plan out their training schedules not only annually but sometimes four to eight years ahead of the competition so that they can track their progress and achievements and make sure they are on track to hit their target. How are you doing with the goals you have made this year?  Are you hitting them so far?I thought it was interesting to note that many athletes train by using visualization techniques.  What does that mean?  In their minds eye, they SEE themselves competing in the event.  They practice in their mind the event from start to finish.

They visualize EVERYTHING they will do on race day to win the event.  Did you
know that there have been studies where athletes were hooked up to electronic devices and asked to run their event only in their mind?  When they went over the
event in their mind, the exact muscles needed to run the event fired up in perfect sequence and at the precise moment when needed – just as if they were physically running that event!!!  And they were only competing in their mind!!!The mind is POWERFUL and so is the art of VISUALIZATION!!!You don’t have to know everything about Real Estate Investing, Online Marketing Techniques or whatever your chosen field of endeavor is, to get started in making money for you and your family.  Obtaining Coaching is the training that will take you to the Olympian level of success! You have to be COMMITTED to your training and success!!  No one else can commit for you – it has to come from within you!!  Commit and visualize.  Commit and visualize.  Commit and visualize some more!!!I KNOW you have it within you to be UBER SUCCESSFUL!!!  I believe in you – do you believe in yourself??
